Kathy Hochul is warnig New Yorkers that severe heat and high humidity will pose a significant health risk from Monday, July 15, through Wednesday, July 17. NJ Mom Killed By Falling Tree While Camping With Family In Furious Upstate NY Storm A New Jersey woman was killed in upstate New York over the weekend when a tree fell on her camper during fierce thunderstorms that ripped through the region, authorities said. At about 10:50 a.m. the Delaware County 911 Center received multiple reports of trees down on campers at multiple locations with an individual trapped at the Russell Brook Campground in the Town of Colchester. Carol E. Luistro was inside of her camper when it was struck by a fallen tree, pinning her underneath it, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, Colchester police said.
