13-Year-Old Riding Bicycle Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Residential Roadway In Hudson Valley Police are investigating a crash in which a boy was killed on a residential roadway in the Hudson Valley. It happened around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 29 in Rockland County. That's when the bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in the village of Pomona at the intersection of High Mountain Road and Overlook Road. Upon arrival, units discovered the vehicle with the 13-year-old boy underneath the vehicle, said Chief John Gould Jr. of the town of Haverstraw Police Department. The operator of the vehicle remained on scene and called for Emergency Services.  …

1 Dead, Another Injured In Hudson Valley Shooting, Suspect On Run Police in the Hudson Valley are searching for a suspect after one person was killed and another was injured during a shooting. The incident occurred in Orange County a little after midnight on Sunday, June 9, in the city of Newburgh. According to Mike Neppl, spokesman for the Newburgh Police, responding officers located a victim who was dead of a gunshot wound in the area of 7 Monument St. A second victim was located at Montefiore St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh with a non-life-threatening injury, Neppl said. Man, 55, Found Shot Dead In Hudson Valley Parking Lot Police are searching for a suspect after a 55-year-old man was found shot dead in a parking lot in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 10:20 p.m., Saturday, June 1, in the area of 472 Main St., in Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Lt. Matt Clark of the City of Poughkeepsie Police, responding officers found the man at the top of the parking area. He was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, where he later died, Clark said. Police have not identified the victim.
