A longtime Hudson Valley police records employee known for her engaging personality has died at 68. Dutchess County native Dorinda R. 'Rindy' Germano, of Poughkeepsie, died peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Monticello. First In NY: 'Sensory Inclusive' Tools Now Standard Equipment For This Police Department
A police department on Long Island is the first in New York to become certified sensory inclusive. The Village of Rockville Centre Police Department was certified by KultureCity, a nonprofit organization that typically trains venue staff to accommodate people with sensory needs, like those with autism. Authorities are looking for whoever fired shots that injured three people in the Hudson Valley, including one person who is now in critical condition. Man Killed, Two Others Including 13-Year-Old Injured In Capital Region Shooting
A man was killed and two others, including a 13-year-old boy, were injured in a late-night shooting in the region. Albany Police were called at around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, for shots fired in the West Hill neighborhood, near Second and Quail streets. Officers found a 46-year-old woman who was shot in the leg and a 13-year-old boy suffering from a graze bullet wound to his arm.
