A Hudson Valley man is behind bars on $100,000 bail after investigators say they found child sexual abuse material at his home following a months-long investigation. Kristopher Clearwater-Ross, 41, of Catskill, was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 1, following an investigation by New York State Police, the agency said. The probe began in July 2024 after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children submitted a CyberTip to authorities. Catskill Man Charged In Cabin Sexual Assault
A 59-year-old man is accused of breaking into a Greene County cabin and sexually assaulting a sleeping woman while a child was present. The incident happened around 12:45 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at Rainbow Cabins on State Route 32 in the town of Catskill, according to New York State Police. Danny Fuller, of Catskill, illegally entered a cabin where a 48-year-old woman was asleep in bed and sexually assaulted her, police said. A convicted child sex abuser who was released from prison early was caught with child pornography, police said. Peter Lentz, 42, of Catskill, was re-arrested following a New York State Police investigation into indecent material involving minors on Thursday, March 6, the agency said. Troopers began investigating Lentz in October 2024 following a mandatory meeting with his parole officer at his Catskill home. Two Men From Region Nabbed With 2 Kilograms Of Cocaine On I-87 In Catskill
In a significant drug bust, the New York State Police apprehended two Staten Island men during a routine traffic stop on I-87 in Catskill. Walter A. Harris, age 38, and Johnny C. Mitchell, age 35, were busted shortly after midnight on Saturday, Dec. 7, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Hicks said an investigation led to the discovery of approximately 2.2 kilograms of cocaine and more than $3,200 in cash. Both men were charged with possession of a controlled substance and intent to sell. They were arraigned and held without bail at the Greene County Jail.

Motorcycle Couple Had Legs Amputated After Being Struck By DUI Driver In Catskill: Campaign
Support is on the rise for a motorcyclist couple from Canada left with serious injuries after being struck by a DUI driver in Greene County, NY.
