A New York woman who shot and seriously wounded another woman in a street argument was convicted of attempted murder on Monday, May 11, authorities said.
Celanna Smith, 26, was also found guilty of assault and weapons possession in connection with the Aug. 13, 2025, shooting that sent a 24-year-old woman to the hospital in need of emergency, life-saving surgery, the Albany County District Attorney’s office said.

Lucas Healey, 43, of Albany, was found guilty of robbery and assault following a three-day trial in Albany Supreme Court on Monday, Jan. 27.
