24-Year-Old Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Capital Region
A 24-year-old man died following a single-vehicle crash in the Capital Region. The wreck happened in Schenectady, near the intersection of Eastern and Rankin avenues, at around 11:20 p.m. Monday, March 3. Arriving officers found a car that had gone off the roadway and struck a tree, according to Schenectady Police. A man is facing charges after he was allegedly found sleeping in a stolen car at a Capital Region gas station. Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 7-Eleven on Route 50 in Wilton for a welfare check at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18. A Hudson Valley woman is facing homicide charges after a toddler died in a hot car. Sarah Carter, 34, of Monticello, was indicted for criminally negligent homicide by a Sullivan County jury on Friday, Jan. 24. Emergency crews were called to the Sleepy Hollow Apartment Complex in July 2024 for a child left in a vehicle.
