Minor Tries Grabbing Cop's Gun During Arrest In Saratoga County, Police Say A minor is facing felony charges after allegedly trying to steal a Saratoga County deputy’s firearm. The incident happened Tuesday, Aug. 5, in Ballston Spa, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. The minor attempted to forcibly remove a deputy’s handgun from its holster while being placed into a patrol vehicle, police said. The suspect also allegedly kicked the deputy in the leg, causing injury. Duo Charged With Hate Crimes After Attacking UPS Driver In Region Two men have been charged with alleged assault as a hate crime after attacking a UPS driver while using racial slurs and attempting to steal the keys to his vehicle. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, on Spook Rock Road in the village of Montebello.
