2.5M Eye Drop Bottles Recalled Over 'Foreign Substance,' FDA Says
More than 2.5 million bottles of a prescription eye drop are being recalled nationwide because they may contain a foreign substance.
Lupin Pharmaceuticals Inc. voluntarily recalled 2,530,182 bottles of Prednisolone Acetate Ophthalmic Suspension, USP, 1%, according to a Food and Drug Administration enforcement report. The recall affects 5 mL, 10 mL, and 15 mL bottles distributed across the US.
According to the FDA, the eye drops were recalled because of the "presence of a foreign substance."

Two people, including a teenager, were busted with a cache of drugs and weapons in Albany on Wednesday, June 8, police said.
Lamont Bryant, 53, and Equavieair Cooper, 18, both of Albany, were arrested around 10:30 a.m. on the 600 block of Clinton Street, the Albany Police Department said.
Cops executed a search warrant at a home and found fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, a loaded AR .22 rifle, and a loaded 9mm handgun, police said. Bryant and Cooper were each hit with eight drug possession and two gun possession charges.

A New York teenager led a three-man robbery and assault in the Capital Region that resulted in three arrests, state police said.
Braedon Loveday, 19; Timothy Wilbur, 34; and an 18-year-old man were arrested for the Tuesday, May 19 attack in Ballston Spa, New York State Police said.
Loveday, of Middle Grove, struck the victim multiple times with a baseball bat before snatching his cellphone and cash, investigators said. Wilbur, also of Middle Grove, and the 18-year-old joined in the attack, according to authorities.
