A Fall River woman made millions arranging fake marriages for immigrants seeking legal status, federal prosecutors allege. Jennifer Gonzalez, 43, ran the operation for more than a decade, charging $38,000 to $40,000 per marriage, the US Attorney for the District of Massachusetts announced Wednesday. A Capital Region man who shot his brother during a family disturbance will spend more than a decade in prison, authorities said. Stafon A. A drunk driver snapped a utility pole in half after failing to navigate a curve in the Capital Region, police said. Jordan A. Rowe, 25, of Agawam, MA, crashed on Hudson Avenue in Stillwater on Friday, Oct. 16, around 2:30 a.m., the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday, Oct. 21. Rowe was driving a 2017 Ford Transit northbound when he misjudged the curve, left the road and struck the pole, investigators said. A driver was rushed to Englewood Hospital after being found with a gunshot wound to the head on the George Washington Bridge Tuesday evening, Oct. 20. Port Authority police responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash on the bridge's westbound upper level around 7:06 p.m., a PAPD spokesperson said. Responding officers found the driver suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head, PAPD said.
