Three hundred pounds of cannabis were seized during a traffic stop on Interstate 87 in Saratoga County, New York State Police announced on Monday, June 22.
Tyler Thompson, 41, of Schenectady, was arrested after troopers discovered the massive cannabis haul during a stop on the Northway in Malta, according to police.
Troopers assigned to the Troop G Community Stabilization Unit, working with the United States Border Patrol, stopped Thompson's vehicle for a traffic violation at approximately 10:53 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, authorities said.

Alan Greenspan, the economist who chaired the Federal Reserve for nearly 19 years, died Monday, June 22, at age 100 from complications of Parkinson’s disease, his wife of 29 years, NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell, said in a statement, according to the network.

Three men were killed when a small plane flying from New Jersey crashed into a wooded area near a residential neighborhood in Bowie, MD, late Saturday night, June 20, Maryland State Police said.
