Cocaine Found In DWI Stop On Long Island Lands 21-Year-Old In Cuffs: Police
A 21-year-old Long Island man was busted driving drunk with cocaine in his vehicle, police said.
Jorge Isaias Saavedra Chasi, of Sag Harbor, was traveling westbound on Pantigo Road through East Hampton around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, the East Hampton Town Police Department said.
The passenger’s side headlamp on Saavedra Chasi’s 2011 Jeep was broken, and he was seen moving unsafely from his lane and crossing the white fog line, authorities said.

Two men were arrested for punching another man in the face during a light night incident on a Montauk beach, authorities said.
Anthony M. Caggiano, 27, and Anthony G. Gadaleta, 25, were charged with third-degree assault for the attack around 1 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, the East Hampton Police Department announced Monday, Sept. 7.
Both men punched an unidentified victim in the face at Bounce Beach, causing “a dental avulsion, tooth fracture, and multiple small lacerations about the face,” East Hampton police said.

$30K In Cosmetics Stolen From LI CVS Stores By Three-Person Crew: Police
A shoplifting trio stole $30,000 worth of cosmetics from three CVS locations across Long Island, police said Friday, Sept. 11.
Two men and one woman hit CVS in Bayport on Sunday, Aug. 23, then robbed a CVS in Halesite and a CVS in Nesconset the following Sunday, Aug. 30, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
In each robbery, the suspects targeted the stores’ cosmetic departments and stole around $30,000 worth of merchandise in total, according to investigators.

Two people have been arrested for robbing a Long Island bank and three more stores across the region, police said Friday, Sept. 11.

Pilot's Final Facebook Post May Have Revealed Couple's Destination Hours Before Deadly Crash
Hours before a training aircraft crashed in a wooded area in Massachusetts, killing both people aboard, one of the victims shared where he was headed that morning.
Kenneth R. Moore, 66, of Pembroke, posted on Facebook at 9:39 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, that he was flying to Northampton for the Three County Fair. Moore and Marcy Asbury, 62, of East Falmouth, were later identified as the victims on board the plane. Asbury's Facebook profile shows the two were dating. Both were killed in the crash.
