Norwalk's Wall Street Theater Celebrates Reopening With Street Festival
NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk’s Wall Street Theater will present a street festival to celebrate the grand reopening of the 100-year-old theater. The afternoon of food and entertainment will run from noon-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at 71 Wall St., Norwalk. After a lengthy hiatus, the theater will reopen in the spring. The festival will feature national and local performing acts, including Norwalk native P.J. Darien Arts Center Expands Music Staff, Classroom Sizes
DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Arts Center has expanded its classroom space and added additional faculty to accommodate its new slate of classes ranging from piano to voice lessons. Joining Regina Elliott and arts center Music Director Juanita Bosee in offering several new classes are recent-hires Dan Hague, Sharon Levin, Jaana Narsipur, Max Pakhomov and Megan Talay, as well as Darien High School graduates Will Bruno, Zach Heyde and Stephanie Wong. OAKLAND, N.J. -- X-Treme Lax Factory believes the future of girls’ lacrosse is here. More specifically, your future in the sport begins with a tryout this weekend in Oakland. The youth girls club will play host to tryouts for girls with graduation years ranging from 2019-2023 at 2 p.m. Sunday at the N.J. Sports House, 12 Wright Way, Oakland. MLB Prospect Mike Nolan Fighting For His Life After Shooting
YONKERS, N.Y. -- Oakland Athletics' prospect Mike Nolan is fighting for his life after being shot during an altercation in the parking lot of a Yonkers fast food restaurant early Friday morning. Nolan, 23, is listed in extremely critical condition at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx after being shot twice around 12:30 a.m. while sitting in a Mercedes in the Burger King parking lot near the Cross County Shopping Center.
