The Tasting Room, at 3767 Route 9G in Rhinebeck is hosting Pop Up Ramen nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Chef Daniel Gendron, who grew up in Japan, said he was inspired by ramen's popularity in New York City.
"There's a ramen restaurant on every corner," Gendron said.
Gendron will be offering fresh noodles with homemade broths based on a traditional Japanese technique along with traditional garnish. The Tasting Room will have chicken and vegetarian options.
"People are always looking for a good Japanese meal, there's only Chinese food up here," Gendron said.
The Tasting Room offers patrons different types of meals every night, based on Gendron's inspirations. Gendron also runs his own catering company, Gendron Catering.
"We don't have standard Italian or Japanese food," Gendron said. "We offer something different every night."
When it comes to his ramen night, one of Gendron's rules is that slurping is totally required.
"Slurp away," Gendron said.
Gendron said he is also planning to host an Ethiopian night, offering pancake injera.
"You have to eat it with your fingers," Gendron said. "No knives or forks."
A shabu shabu night, where patrons will have to cook their own meat is also being planned.
