During his time writing for newspapers, magazines, and online publications, he’s covered everything from murderers to mommy bloggers, but his most interesting story is always the next one.

Driver, Passenger Escape Burning Car Fire In Brookfield People inside a car that burst into flames on New Year's Day escaped without injury, authorities said.  Firefighters were called to Sandy Lane in Brookfield around 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday to reports of a car fire. Crews said the vehicle was completely engulfed when they arrived, but the two people inside had escaped.  Firefighters quickly contained the blaze and contained a fuel leak. The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection also responded to determine whether the leak had any environmental impacts.  The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Trumbull Teen Robbed Of Dirt Bike At Gunpoint Along Rails To Trails Path: Cops A 14-year-old Trumbull teen was robbed at gunpoint on New Year's Eve while riding his dirt bike on the Rails to Trails path, authorities said.  Giovanni DeJesus, 19, of Bridgeport, was arrested shortly after the incident, recovering the stolen bike and an illegal firearm, Bridgeport police said.  The robbery occurred around 5 p.m. near the pump station between White Plains Road and Quarry Road. Meriden Man Sexually Abused 6-Year-Old Child Repeatedly For Years: Police A Meriden man is facing multiple felony charges following a months-long investigation into disturbing allegations of child sexual assault and abuse. Adaliz Rojas, 32, was arrested on Dec. 14, in New Haven after investigators with the Special Crimes Unit (SCU) obtained a warrant accusing him of years of abuse involving a 6-year-old child, Meriden police said.  The SCU began its investigation in July 2024 after receiving a complaint detailing repeated instances of sexual assault and physical abuse, allegedly occurring over several years in both Meriden and New Haven, authorities said.&nb…
