Flight 3278, bound for Albany, was beginning departure from Orlando International Airport at around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20, when an air traffic controller abruptly canceled its takeoff clearance, an FAA spokesperson confirmed to Daily Voice.

The order was given after the flight mistakenly began its takeoff roll on a taxiway that runs parallel to the runway, the agency said.

No other aircraft were involved and nobody was injured. The FAA is investigating the incident.

Daily Voice has reached out to the airline for comment.
