ID Released For Hicksville Man Killed In Hit-Run Westbury DWI Crash
The identity has been released of a man killed in a hit-and-run Long Island crash involving an allegedly drunk driver. The crash happened around 4 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, in Westbury. A 2006 gray Chrysler Sebring was traveling eastbound on Old Country Road when it struck a bicyclist near the intersection of State Street. Trio Sought After Smash-Grab Burglary At Levittown Business
The search is on for three suspects who broke into a Long Island game store and stole merchandise. It happened in Levittown, at the Collectors Emporium on Hempstead Turnpike, at around midnight Tuesday, Oct. 29. Nassau County Police said three people entered the business by breaking a rear door. They then stole an unknown amount of merchandise before fleeing the scene. No suspects had been publicly identified or arrested as of Tuesday evening. 3 Hospitalized After Overnight Long Island Expressway Crash In Jericho
Two men and a woman were hospitalized after an overnight crash on the Long Island Expressway. It happened just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, in Jericho. That's when a 2016 Volvo tractor-trailer was traveling eastbound and struck a 2005 Isuzu in the vicinity of Exit 40E, according to Nassau County Police. The driver of the Isuzu, a 55-year-old man, was establishing a construction zone at the time of the accident, Nassau County Police said. A Long Island man has been apprehended after authorities say he impersonated an officer. A woman is recovering after being attacked by a dog on Long Island. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Elmont. Nassau County Police officers responding to the Newburgh Street residence found the 81-year-old had suffered multiple lacerations to various parts of her body.
