Box Cutter-Wielding Man Breaks Into Long Island Home, Threatens Resident, Police Say A suspect was arrested days after a home break-in on Long Island. The incident happened in Speonk, at around 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, according to Southampton Town Police. Investigators said a resident called 911 saying a man known to them had illegally entered their home and threatened them with a box cutter. By the time officers arrived, the suspect had fled. Nobody was injured in the ordeal. On Saturday, Oct. 12, police arrested 42-year-old Bernard Colletti on suspicion of burglary and menacing. Colletti was arraigned the following morning.
