Dairy Queen Giving Away Free Ice Cream To Think Spring: Here's How To Get Yours

Dairy Queen is helping make spring's arrival a little sweeter.

Dairy Queen is bringing back its annual Free Cone Day, the restaurant chain said in a news release on Monday, Mar. 3. DQ will offer fans a free small vanilla soft-serve cone on Thursday, Mar. 20, which will also be the first day of spring.

Customers can stop by participating locations nationwide for their free cone, complete with the signature DQ curl on top.

"Free Cone Day is by far one of our favorite days of the year," said Maria Hokanson, DQ's executive vice president of marketing. "There's nothing sweeter than enjoying a tasty cone – on DQ – to kick off a season full of reasons to celebrate."

DQ lovers can also win free ice cream cones for a year. Customers can enter the sweepstakes until Wednesday, Mar. 19, by downloading the DQ App and signing up for the chain's rewards program.

There are more than 7,700 DQ restaurants in 20 countries, including more than 4,000 in the US.
