A Marine and soon-to-be father was found dead in a hotel room while on assignment, leaving investigators searching for answers and loved ones mourning a sudden loss.
Sgt. Albert Haynes II, 24, of Austin, Pennsylvania, was discovered dead in a hotel room in Starke, Florida, on Friday, May 30, according to the U.S. Marine Corps.
Haynes was assigned to Lima Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island and was supporting a poolee function with Recruiting Station Jacksonville while on temporary additional duty when he died, military officials said.

A jury has convicted a Long Island man of murder for a drunken driving crash that tore through a busy nail salon, killing four people and injuring nine others, prosecutors announced on Thursday, June 4.
