The fiery wreck happened just before 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, in Schenectady, on Eastern Avenue. The scene was two blocks away from Union College. According to Schenectady Police, 31-year-old Gregory Mitchell, of Scotia, was driving while intoxicated when he crashed into a parked car on Eastern Avenue near Degraff Street. The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, in Schenectady, near State and Spruce streets, police said. When officers arrived, they found a female pedestrian lying in the street. The two-alarm fires broke out in Schenectady, according to the city’s fire department. Crews were called to a home near Second Avenue and Sunset Street early Wednesday morning, June 1, with reports of a house on fire. Firefighters had it under control within an hour, officials said.
