Man Took Part In Killing Of 19-Year-Old Former Football Standout In Capital Region, Jury Finds Nearly three years after a former high school football standout was gunned down inside his home in the region, the last of three defendants in the case has been convicted of murder. A Rensselaer County jury found Carlos Lewis, age 26, of Schenectady, guilty of murder and related charges in the killing of 19-year-old Nathanial Miller on Friday, Feb. 23. The threat was received several hours before the varsity contest in Dutchess County between rivals John Jay of East Fishkill and host Roy C. Police have identified two "persons of interest" after three people were shot following a high school football game overnight in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30 in Orange County at the Newburgh Free Academy when police say a fight broke out in the north parking lot after the game against visiting Warwick Valley High School.
