Teen Duo Charged With Attempted Murder Following Shooting In Capital Region Two underage teens are facing attempted murder charges following a shooting in the region. The Rensselaer County incident happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in Troy, near 3rd and Jefferson streets. Troy Police said someone called 911 saying they had heard multiple gunshots in the area. When officers arrived, they interviewed an individual who they believe to have been the intended target of the shooting. The victim was not struck and there were no reports of injuries. Combative 20-Year-Old Busted With 'Ghost' Gun During Capital Region Traffic Stop, Police Say A routine traffic stop in the region ended with a 20-year-old in handcuffs on weapons charges. The Saratoga County incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, in Halfmoon on Tower Way. State Police said 20-year-old Shawn Koenig, of Pittsfield in Rensselaer County, was initially stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The trooper ordered him out of the car for a standardized field sobriety test, but Koenig reportedly refused to cooperate.
