A police department in the region is asking the public for help identifying two people involved in a shooting earlier this year. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Saturday, Feb. 10, around 11:30 p.m. in the area of Church and Main Streets in the city of Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Lt. Suspect Nabbed In Stabbing Death At Popular Park In Region
A 51-year-old is behind bars after being charged in connection with the stabbing death of another man in a popular park in the region. Dutchess County resident Shrone Wright of Poughkeepsie was charged on Wednesday, Nov. 13, for the Wednesday, Nov. 6 murder at Pershing Park. The name of the victim has not been released. Online Threat Leads To Increased Security At School In Region
Parents and students can expect to see extra police on the campus of a middle school in the region after a threat of violence was made over social media. Enlarged City School District of Middletown Superintendent Amy Creeden said the threat was received late Monday, Nov. 11, in Orange County at Monhagen Middle School in the town of Wallkill. Triple Homicide: Incident In Small Vermont Town Along Capital Region Border Under Investigation
The Vermont State Police are asking the public for help after three people were found dead inside a home along the New York border. The incident occurred in the small Rutland County town of Pawlet on Sunday, Sept. 15. According to the Vermont State Police, early Sunday, the police received a call reporting a suspicious person. Police are working to determine whether a series of overnight car fires in the region are connected. Four separate fires were reported inside vehicles early Wednesday morning, June 21, in Rensselaer County, in the village of Lansingburgh, according to Troy Police. Man Stabbed To Death In Capital District
A suspect is in custody after a man was stabbed to death in the Capital District. The attack happened Sunday night, May 15, near Third and State streets in Troy, according to Troy Police. When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from stab wounds. Both were taken to the hospital, where one man later died, police said. The second victim is still recovering in the hospital.
