Nearly-Full 100-Unit North Jersey Apartment Complex Sells
A 100-unit apartment complex that is nearly fully occupied has changed hands in New Jersey.
Valley View Apartments, at 149 Katz Ave., in Paterson, was acquired by EOM Equity from Redwood Associates, an affiliate of Value Companies, JLL Capital Markets announced Tuesday, Sept. 1. A sale price was not disclosed.
Built in 1965, the complex has 76 one-bedroom and 24 two-bedroom apartments across 79,661 rentable square feet, JLL said. The property is 99% occupied.

Corrections Sergeant, Wife, Kids Killed When Car Plummets Down Embankment (Update)
A correctional sergeant, his wife, and their two children were killed when their car plunged about 60 feet down a steep embankment on Saturday, Aug. 29, state police said.
Pennsylvania State Troopers were called around 10:16 a.m. to the area of 1365 Rock Mountain Drive in Gibson Township, Susquehanna County, where first responders found the sedan down the embankment.

A New Jersey business owner suffered life-threatening injuries when he fell from a roof and landed on a railing that impaled him through his side over the weekend, according to authorities and a fundraiser launched by a longtime friend.
Stavros Makris, 24, of Westfield, fell from the roof of a home on the 300 block of Wychwood Road around 1:34 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, Westfield Police Chief Christopher Battiloro said.
