FedEx Truck Driver Killed In Sussex County Crash A FedEx truck driver was killed in a Sussex County crash over the weekend, authorities confirmed. The vehicle overturned and trapped the driver on the S-turn just north of Lake Panorama on Route 565 in Vernon around 1:20 p.m. Saturday, township police said. Officers responding to the crash found that the driver had succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The victim’s name was not yet released. State Police: Driver Hospitalized After Running Honda Off Route 80 In Denville, Hitting Tree A Honda Civic driver was hospitalized after veering off Route 80 and hitting a tree in Denville Tuesday evening, state police said. The driver was traveling down Route 80 westbound when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree near milepost 38.4 just after 6:05 p.m., NJSP Trooper Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice. The driver was taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Peele said. No passengers were inside the vehicle, and no other cars were involved, authorities said. The cause of the crash remained under investigation.

Police ID Driver Killed In Route 206 Sussex County Crash A 62-year-old man died when his vehicle became pinned underneath a tractor-trailer on Route 206 in Sussex County Friday afternoon, authorities said. Richard Hamm, of Andover, was heading northbound behind the wheel of a Dodge when he struck the trailer, which was perpendicular across the roadway while backing into a loading dock 2:20 p.m.,  Police Chief Eric Danielson said. The Andover Township Fire Department and first responders removed Hamm's car from under the tractor trailer, and Hamm died of injuries suffered in the crash, police said.
