Smoky Blaze Ravages Hunterdon County Home Authorities are investigating the cause of a massive fire that ripped through a Hunterdon County home on Monday, Aug. 22. The Lebanon Township Fire Department responded to the blaze on Elk Ridge Road with several neighboring squads around 2:45 p.m. Upon arrival, crews found the home fully engulfed and immediately began working to douse the blaze, LTFD said. Joshua F. Daranijo, 24, of Levittown, was charged with three counts each of sexual assault by contact and child endangerment, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson said in a release on Thursday, August 18. Daranijo is accused of sexually assaulting three children while working as a counselor at Camp Bernie in Lebanon Township, Robeson said. Station 13 responded to a burning home in Lebanon Township and found two dogs trapped shortly before 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, the department said. Police responded to Route 31 north of Rocky Run Road around 9:15 Wednesday night where the 2002 Chevy Malibu had overturned, NJ.com reports. The driver was taken to Hunterdon Medical Center by Lebanon Township Volunteer Fire Department EMS with minor injuries, Lebanon police said.
