Man Fatally Struck By Train In Summit: NJ Transit A man was fatally struck by a train near Summit Station, early Tuesday morning, May 27, authorities said. At 1:28 a.m., Morris and Essex Line train 6907, which departed New York Penn Station and was en route to Dover, struck and fatally injured the man, NJ Transit said.  There were no injuries reported to the approximately 50 customers or crew on board, NJ Transit said. New Jersey Transit Police are leading the investigation.

Man Struck, Killed By NJ Transit Train In Hackensack: Officials NJ Transit rail service was suspended along the Pascack Valley Line due to a fatal pedestrian strike in Bergen County on Thursday morning, May 22, officials said. The incident occurred around 11:36 a.m. near the Clinton Place crossing in Hackensack, NJ Transit said. Train #1624, which left Spring Valley at 10:55 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 12:05 p.m., struck and killed a man, rail officials said.
