A serious crash closed all lanes of Route 78 in Union County on Friday, April 10. All lanes were closed as of press time. The crash happened in the westbound lanes, west of Exit 43 in Union County at approximately 10:50 a.m. Traffic cameras showed cars at a complete stop on the highway.

As of 11:37 a.m., a crash was reported on the Garden State Parkway southbound just south of Exit 143C (NJ 124) in Irvington. Traffic was backed up for miles in either direction.

A Peterbilt tractor-trailer was traveling south when the driver changed lanes into the left shoulder to avoid a collision with traffic just before 4 p.m., in the southbound lanes at milepost 35.5 in Mount Laurel, NJSP Tpr. A Hudson Link bus burst into flames on the Tappan Zee Bridge on Friday afternoon, Nov. 21, shutting down multiple lanes and causing delays before firefighters brought the blaze under control. The fire began just before 1:40 p.m. as the bus was traveling south across the span. A 50-year-old hit-and-run driver was arrested after police say he led a pursuit along Route 17 last week. Vincent Vespe, of Montvale, struck another vehicle in a white Toyota Tacoma in Wood-Ridge on Aug. 19, Lyndhurst Police Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said. Officer Kapp pursued the suspect vehicle after it refused to stop through several streets in Lyndhurst before entering Route 17 north, Auteri said. Lyndhurst officers Lt.
