Fútbol is now real life for Dani Rojas.
Cristo Fernández, the actor who stars as Rojas on "Ted Lasso," has signed with El Paso Locomotive FC, the United Soccer League Championship club announced on Tuesday, May 12. Just like his energetic, joyful character on the hit Apple TV show, Fernández is also a forward.
Fernández, 35, joined El Paso after a two-month trial with the club. He trained regularly with the Locomotive and appeared in a preseason match against New Mexico United.

A 25-year-old man from New Jersey died after falling from an elevated position in Manhattan over the weekend, police said.
Officers responded around 9:11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19 to a 911 call of an aided male in front of 560 West 168th Street, according to an NYPD spokesperson.

Upon arrival, officers found Ander Bustamante, on the sidewalk with injuries “indicative of falling from an elevated position,” police said.
