US Issues Urgent Travel Warnings Covering 2 Countries: What To Know
The US State Department is warning Americans against traveling to part of one country and has issued a do not travel warning for one of its neighboring nations.
A Level 3 Reconsider Travel Advisory covers these parts of eastern Colombia:
Arauca, Cauca (excluding Popayán), and Norte de Santander departments in Colombia;
The Colombia-Venezuela border region.
"Violent crime, like murder, assault, and robbery, is common in many areas in Colombia," the advisory says. "In some places, organized crime is rampant. This includes extortion, robbery, and kidnapping."

Dating App Trap: Teens Robbed In Late-Night Clifton Set-Up, Cops Say
Two teens thought they were going on a date. Instead, they walked into an armed robbery, police in Clifton said.
The incident happened around 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, when Clifton Police responded to Harrington Road for a reported armed robbery, Lt. Robert Anderson said.

The body of a man who authorities say was shot dead by a Bergen County tattoo artist and then dumped into the Hudson River was identified as the remains recovered from the water last month.

A Bronx man accused of shoplifting from a store at the Westfield Garden State Plaza allegedly assaulted multiple people, including a store manager, a pursuing employee, and an elderly female shopper, authorities said.

Thomas Manzo, the ex-husband of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Dina Cantin, was sentenced on Wednesday, Jan. 8, after previously pleading guilty to stalking her and her then-fiancé now-husband David Cantin, leading to a 2017 home invasion, authorities said.

A New York trio has been arrested in connection with a home invasion earlier this month in Bergen County, authorities said.
Diogenes A. Rosario, 49, of New York, NY; Leonel Perez, 38, of New York, NY; and Misael Diaz, 38, of Yonkers, broke into a multi-family home on Crescent Lane in Cliffside Park around 1:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

A 25-year-old Newark man was arrested after committing a string of armed robberies in Paterson on Sunday, Oct. 6, authorities said.
