Qingqin “Coco” Xie was charged with racketeering in Albany federal court on Wednesday, Aug. 20, following a two-year investigation involving the FBI, New York State Police, IRS, and Homeland Security Investigations.
The probe culminated in a multi-agency police raid on Xie’s massage spas in Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Rensselaer, and Ulster counties, as Daily Voice reported.

A 51-year-old Queens woman was arrested and charged with having a prostitution business in Montclair, authorities announced Tuesday, July 8.
Law enforcement began investigating a business on the 400 block of Bloomfield Avenue after receiving complaints about suspected acts of prostitution, Montclair police said.
On Wednesday, July 2, a law enforcement operation led to the arrest of Meifeing Li, police said. Li is charged with prostitution, police said.
Detectives seized cash, surveillance equipment and other items linked to prostitution related activities, police said.

A raid of an illicit massage parlor turned up $600,000 of cash inside a giant stuffed teddy bear in Edison, authorities announced this week.
Five people were arrested following a more than yearlong investigation into Bliss Spa, a massage parlor at 2595 Woodbridge Ave., Edison police said.
The teddy bear was found in the Edison home of Daniela Diienno, the de facto owner and manager of the spa, police said. Law enforcement also seized a 2025 Tesla Model Y, a Rolex watch and a Cartier watch, police said.

A woman running a spa in Morris County was arrested and charged after authorities say her spa was offering some extra services.
Soon Bang, a 63-year-old Fairview resident, ran a prostitution business at Oasis Spa on Route 10 in Denville, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Denville Police Chief Frank Perna said.

Eighteen people were arrested and more than $22,000 was seized in a widespread prostitution bust across Passaic County, authorities said.
Acting on citizen complains, multiple divisions of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office conducted a quality of life operation on July 23 and 24, Acting Sheriff Gary Giardina said.
