NJ Cops Bust DoorDash Driver, Then Make Delivery
Police in Washington Township, Gloucester County, do more than just arrest bad guys.
At noon on Sunday, March 1, officers stopped a vehicle in front Washington Township High School and discovered the driver was a wanted person with warrants, Washington Township police said. While being placed under arrest, the driver told offices he was making a DoorDash delivery right up the block, police said.
Sgt. Matt Barnett and Officer Mike Scheer helped make sure the delivery was completed, police said.

Cody A. Balmer has pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro in a firebombing attack that endangered 22 people inside the Governor’s Mansion in Harrisburg, prosecutors announced on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Balmer admitted to all charges, including attempted murder, aggravated arson, 22 counts of arson (one for each person endangered), burglary, and related offenses, according to Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo.

A 19-year-old woman from New York was arrested after police said she tried to cash a $7,344 fraudulent check at a TD Bank branch in Fair Lawn on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
Officers were called to the bank at 23-40 Maple Ave., around 4 p.m., after the branch manager reported the attempted fraud, Sgt. Eric Eleshewich said.
The suspect, identified as Jahesa M. Stokes of Middletown, NY, was arrested at the scene and charged with forgery, Eleshewich said. She was later released.

Two Hurt In Back-To-Back Coyote Attacks In Bergen County Town, Police Say
Two people were injured in separate coyote attacks while walking dogs in Bergen County, police said.
The first attack happened Thursday evening, Sept. 25, in the area of Chestnut Ridge Road and Werimus Road, according to the Saddle River Police Department. A resident reported being attacked by a coyote while walking his dog.
The next morning, Friday, Sept. 26, a worker was also attacked by a coyote while walking a dog near Chestnut Ridge Road and North Church Road, police said.
