Westwood HS Brawl: Names Released In Police Documents
Daily Voice has obtained the names of the 10 of the 13 individuals charged in connection with the brawls that broke out following the Westwood High School graduation ceremony last month. As previously reported by Daily Voice, two graduating students and 11 of their family members were slapped with a total of 25 charges including assault, disorderly conduct, failure to disperse, and obstruction, following the fights on Thursday, June 20, Washington Township Police Chief John Calamari said. Natasha Olson, a 28-year-old Elmwood Park resident, died on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. In her obituary on the Patrick J Conte Funeral Home website, Natasha is being remembered for her boundless curiosity and radiant smile. She is survived by her parents, Elizabeth and Eric, siblings, Maxwell and Astrid and stepfather, Ralph, according to her obituary. A funeral was held on Wednesday, June 25 at St. Leo's Roman Catholic Church in Elmwood Park and she was buried at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. A new Amazon supermarket is about to open in Monmouth County, officials said. The Amazon Fresh in Eatontown will officially open on Thursday, June 20, the company said in a news release. Rochelle Park House Fire Quickly Knocked
Firefighters made quick work of a Rochelle Park house blaze. The fire broke out on the second floor of Parkway home off Rochelle Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday, June 16. Firefighters contained it there, knocking down the main body barely 20 minutes before they began. : Route 17 Ramp To Route 4 In Paramus Reopened After Box Truck Crash
A ramp at Routes 4 and 17 in Paramus was reopened shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday after a box truck tipped onto its side a few hours earlier. The driver climbed out after the leased truck crashed on the cloverleaf ramp from northbound Route 17 to westbound Route 4 around 7:30 a.m. June 8, responders at the scene said. Repeat Offender Punches Disabled Man In Face For 75-Cent Bus Fare: Ridgefield Park PD
A repeat offender heartlessly punched a disabled man on a Ridgefield Park street and took the 75 cents he'd been carrying for bus fare, authorities said. Joshua Bendewald, 30, approached the victim near the corner of Main Street and Grand Avenue and “asked him how much money he had” around 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, Ridgefield Park Police Lt.
