A Delta Air Lines flight from the United States to Europe turned harrowing when severe turbulence forced the plane to divert and have an emergency landing, sending 25 people to the hospital for evaluation and care.
Delta Flight 56, an Airbus A330-900 from Salt Lake City bound for Amsterdam, was carrying 275 passengers and 13 crew members, when the incident happened Wednesday evening, July 30.

A third drowning that happened over the weekend in Passaic County has been reported.
Wayne police say this incident involved a 44-year-old Queens, NY man, who had drowned in a backyard pool on Rutgers Court.
Officers responded to a home on Rutgers Court around 10:36 p.m. Saturday, July 19, after a report of a car crashing into a swimming pool. When they arrived, they discovered it wasn’t a crash, but something far worse, according to Police Capt. Daniel Daly.

A 74-year-old man was airlifted to the hospital after suffering a head injury in a fall outside a Bergen County apartment complex Monday afternoon, Dec. 2, police said.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:25 p.m. when the man, who lives on Sutton Place in Norwood, was walking backward on the sidewalk while pulling a piece of luggage, Norwood Police Chief Christian Federici said. The man lost his balance and fell, striking his head on the concrete.
