High School Student Killed, 22 Displaced In Fire Night Of Trenton Homecoming: Report
A devastating three-alarm fire in Trenton killed an 18-year-old high school student and displaced more than 20 people, according to city officials and published reports.
The blaze broke out at approx 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 on the 1200 block of North Olden Avenue and spread across seven houses, according to the City of Trenton's news release and 6abc.
Four people were injured, including a firefighter from Hopewell, Mayor Reed Gusciora told New Jersey 101.5. One victim, an 18-year-old male, died. Two victims are stable and one remains in critical condition, the city said.

Vito Perillo, the 100-year-old mayor of a New Jersey borough, died on Sunday, Feb. 23, the borough announced.
Perillo was first elected mayor of Tinton Falls in 2017, at the age of 93 and re-elected in 2021. He was the oldest mayor in the country.

Triple Murder: Three Dead Including Two Children In Jersey City, Mayor Says
Three people, including two children, were killed in a domestic violence incident in Jersey City on Wednesday, Jan. 29, authorities said.
A woman and two children, 9 and 5, were killed by a man who then tried to stab himself at a residence on Hutton Street, Mayor Steve Fulop and the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said. The man is in custody, Fulop said.
Chaplains and social workers have been deployed to the neighborhood to work with family and neighbors, Fulop said.
"This is just such horrible and sad news," Fulop said.
