A Pennsylvania native died after falling during a strenuous hike in Washington State, his family and rescue officials confirmed.
Andrew (Andy) Robert Wong, 37, of Bethlehem, PA, summitted Dragontail Peak in Leavenworth, WA, before falling to his death on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, according to his obituary from Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. in Hellertown.

A popular Pennsylvania park ranger who vanished during a Memorial Day weekend patrol has been found dead, authorities and colleagues announced.
Alec Campbell, 38, of Delaware County, was identified as the ranger whose body was recovered from the Neshaminy Creek at Tyler State Park after a days-long search. He went missing on Saturday, May 24, when his kayak capsized during routine patrol duties, Pennsylvania State Police said.

NJ Hiker Found Dead On Trail In NY's Catskill Mountains
A New Jersey man was found dead on a popular hiking trail in New York’s Catskill Mountains.
Linhu Jin, 54, was found unresponsive by a group of hikers on Greene County’s Devils Path Trail in the Town of Lexington at around 6:45 p.m. Thursday, April 24, according to New York State Police.
Jin, of Palisades Park, New Jersey, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A cause of death was not given but troopers confirmed that no foul play is suspected.
State Police were assisted by the New York State Forest Rangers, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lexington Fire Company.

Gerhardt Konig, 46, a former University of Pittsburgh and UPMC doctor, pleaded not guilty to second-degree attempted murder during a virtual court appearance on Monday, April 7, according to CBS News Pittsburgh.
