A 28-year-old Essex County man admitted to committing a spree of robberies and a carjacking in federal court on Thursday, June 27, authorities said. In Dec. 2021, Deion Nance carjacked a person at gunpoint, taking their 2016 Toyota Corolla, by pointing a gun at their face, pulling the victim out of their vehicle and driving away, U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger said. The mugshot of a 34-year-old murder suspect arrested in a New Jersey shooting that rattled a small town has been released. Anthony Garvin, of Netcong, was charged with murder and possession of a firearm and lodged in the Berks County Jail in Leesport, PA, a spokesperson for the Warren County Prosecutor's Office said following the Thursday, June 28 incident. A 42-year-old Bloomfield man was arrested and charged with firing gunshots at another vehicle during a road rage incident in Montclair on Monday, June 17, authorities said. Nelson Santos, who was driving a white Tesla, unsuccessfully tried to overtake the victims in their vehicle, and then continued following them until they pulled over at New Street and Washington Street just before 10 p.m., Montclair police said in a release. The father of Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley was arrested with a loaded gun in a New York City traffic stop this week, police said. Police stopped Alibay Barkley, 55, of Whitehall, PA, in a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette with an obstructed license plates that didn't match the car, at East 140 St. and Third Avenue around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, the NYPD said.
