9K Without Power In NJ Thousands of people throughout New Jersey are without power on Wednesday, Dec. 24, with Ocean County being hardest hit. According to Jersey Central Power and Light, more than 9,146 customers are without power. Nearly 8,000 of those customers are in Ocean County, while 931 customers are without power in Sussex County. Pockets of Warren, Morris, Passaic, Hunterdon, Union and Somerset counties are also without power. Ocean Township and Lacey Township are the hardest hit municipalities with thousands of customers reporting an outage.

Paterson Building Collapse Under Investigation Authorities are investigating a building collapse overnight in Paterson. The vacant, single-story building on Ryle Avenue collapsed around 12 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, the fire department said. The building is attached to a vacant three-story mill. Public Service Electric was on the scene working to isolate power to the street and manage downed wires. Crews are actively conducting primary searches of the collapsed area.
