Gunman Robs Wells Fargo In Elmwood Park, Assaults Employee, Prosecutor Says A masked man with a handgun robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Elmwood Park on Thursday morning, July 3, before assaulting an employee and fleeing with cash, authorities said. The robbery occurred around 9:19 a.m. at the bank located at 115 Broadway, according to Deputy Chief of Detectives Jeff Angermeyer of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. Elmwood Park police officers arrived on scene shortly after and confirmed the robbery. The suspect had already fled. One bank employee suffered a minor injury, police said. A large manhunt followed.
