Man Sucker Punches Stranger At NJ 7-Eleven For 'Picking On Woman,' Cops Say
A Bergen County man is accused of assaulting a stranger and stealing his phone outside a 7-Eleven, authorities said.
On Sunday, Aug. 31, at approximately 10:57 p.m., Wallington Police Officers Peter Wojcik and Robert Ventura responded to the 7-Eleven at 358 Main Ave., in Wallington, for a report of an assault, Detective Szymon Popek said in a release.

Watched On Camera, Wallington Duo Arrested In Drug, Stolen ID Bust: Cops
Two men were busted in Wallington after police say they were caught on borough surveillance cameras with drugs and stolen ID cards.
The arrests happened on Friday, July 18, when officers Wojcik and Officer Ventura, monitoring a corner camera, spotted two men acting suspiciously, Wallington Detective Lt. Joseph Rock said.
One of the men, Jeslin Martinez, was recognized from prior burglary cases. The second, Jakub Bartosik, was allegedly seen discarding drug paraphernalia into a bag, Rock said.

Heroin, Crack, And A 2-Year-Old: Bergen County Duo Charged In 7-Eleven Traffic Stop, Cops Say
A Lodi man and woman were arrested after police say they were driving with heroin, crack cocaine, and a 2-year-old in the car on the Fourth of July in Rochelle Park.
Officer Chris Kiszka stopped a Ford F-150 at 11:45 p.m., after the vehicle was seen being driven carelessly into the 7-Eleven parking lot on Rochelle Avenue, police said in a release from Capt. James DePreta.
The driver, Reginald Murph, 40, refused to take field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI, police said. A search of the vehicle turned up suspected heroin, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia, according to police.

Lured To Basement, Robbed And Held Down: Trio Charged In Elmwood Park Home Ambush, Cops Say
A man was lured into a basement and robbed after meeting a woman outside a 7-Eleven in Elmwood Park, authorities said.
The victim walked into the Elmwood Park Police Department headquarters around 5:15 a.m. to report the robbery, Elmwood Park Police Chief Michael Foligno said. He told officers he had met a woman, later identified as Elizabeth Womack, 37, of Elmwood Park, outside the 7-Eleven at Market Street and Mola Boulevard earlier that morning. Womack then invited him to a nearby residence in the area of Hillman Drive, the chief said.

A preliminary list has been released of schools that received items that were part of a nationwide recall of millions of pounds of meat and poultry products over fears they may be contaminated with Listeria.
The initial recall involving the manufacturer, Bruce Pac, was for 9,986,245 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) products sold at Walmart, Target, Amazon, Trader Joe's, 7-Eleven, Aldi, and other stores. It was announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
