Update: Union County Ex-Con Admits Robbing Bergen County Bank
An ex-con from Union County admitted robbing a Rutherford bank of $2,300 while wearing a New York Yankees cap that police later recovered from a nearby recycling bin, authorities said.
Seneca Wilson, 43, of Clark, entered the Kearny Bank (formerly Kearny Federal Savings) at Park and West Newall avenues at 4:12 p.m. April 7, 2021, U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Philip R. Sellinger said.
He had on a dark t-shirt with a white logo, a windbreaker and sunglasses, as well as a neck gaiter over his face, a glove on his left hand and the baseball cap, witnesses said.

A Monmouth County jury has found a Hudson County man guilty of raping a woman after their first date at a Jersey Shore beach, authorities said
Kawami R. Junor, 28, of Bayonne, was convicted on all charges, including sexual assault, criminal restraint and criminal sexual contact, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey.
Junor was additionally found guilty of assault by auto, a disorderly persons offense, by Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Joseph W. Oxley following the verdict.
Junor is scheduled to be sentenced on May 6.

A 30-year-old man from Ocean County has been indicted in connection with his father's alleged murder-for-hire, authorities said.
Mark J. Austin, 30, of Brick Township, was charged Thursday with murder and weapons offenses, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
The son faces life in prison without parole if found guilty of murder-for-hire, the prosecutor said.

Three New York men tried to kidnap a man on Wednesday morning, according to police.
