Driver, 83, Killed In 2-Car Crash In South Jersey: Police
An 83-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash in Burlington Township, authorities said Rose Zampino, of Burlington Township, was driving a Mitsubishi sedan north on Route 541 near Kelly Drive at about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, when a southbound Volvo SUV struck her vehicle, Burlington Township police said. Tractor-Trailer Flips On NJ Turnpike:

A tractor-trailer flipped, snarling traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 12:50 p.m. on Monday, April 29 on the Turnpike's Interchange 4 ramp to the toll plaza in Mount Laurel, according to New Jersey State Police. Based on a preliminary investigation, the Volvo tractor-trailer overturned on its side, State Police said. As the result of the crash, the driver of the Volvo sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital, police said. The crash remains under investigation.

Truck Driver, 30, Dies In Fiery NJ Turnpike Wreck
A 30-year-old Pennsylvania man died in a fiery crash on the New Jersey Turnpike over the weekend. The unnamed Huntingdon Valley man was behind the wheel of a Volvo bobtail heading south on the Turnpike in Bordentown when it collided with a Volvo semi-trailer around 4:25 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, New Jersey State Police Detective I Jeffrey Lebron said. The Volvo bobtail traveled off the road, collided with the sound barrier, and became engulfed in flames. As a result of the crash, the driver died. There were no other injuries reported. The accident remains under investigation.

Crash Kills Driver On GSP In Cape May County
A 74-year-old man was killed in a Garden State Parkway crash in Cape May County Saturday afternoon, Feb. 25, authorities said. A Volvo heading south veered off the roadway and struck tow trees near milepost 12.4 around 4:20 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. The driver, a Neptune man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was being withheld pending notification.

A 27-year-old woman from Gloucester County was killed when her car collided with a tractor-trailer whose tire malfunctioned on Interstate 295, authorities said. Allison Dephillipo, of Gibbstown, was driving a Nissan Versa southbound in West Deptford Township at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, when the Nissan struck the rear of the truck, according to New Jersey State Police. The Volvo tractor-trailer had “experienced a tire malfunction” prior to the crash and was continuing southbound when the collision occurred, police said. A 57-year-old Short Hills Tesla driver died in a multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer on Route 24 in Summit Thursday, May 19, authorities said. David M. Baum was traveling in the right lane on the eastbound side of the highway when he was struck by a Volvo tractor trailer, causing a chain-reaction crash near milepost 9 just after 2 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said.
