A traveler at JFK Airport might've thought he was smooth, but spread the word: Gun parts hidden in jars of peanut butter aren't going to make it past the TSA. A 32-year-old Newark man was near a Trenton school when he was found with 60 heroin decks, crack-cocaine, and a semi-automatic handgun with a high-capacity magazine, authorities charged. Trenton VCU Detectives found Rashaon A. Williams with a Taurus .9mm semi-automatic handgun after seeing a bulge in his waistband while patrolling Brunswick Avenue, police said in a release on Wednesday, Sept. 21. : Trenton Man Found With 71 Heroin Decks, Handgun With High-Capacity Mag, Police Say
A Trenton man was slapped with drug and weapons offenses after he was found with more than 70 decks of heroin and a handgun with a high-capacity magazine, authorities said. Ivan Olmeda-Vargas, 39, was found with 71 heroin decks and a Smith and Wesson M&P .40 cal. semi-automatic handgun as detectives pulled him over on Tuesday, March 15, Police Director Steve E. Wilson said on Thursday, March 24. The firearm had a high-capacity magazine containing six rounds of hollow-point ammunition and 26 rounds of ball-nosed ammunition, Wilson said.
