High School Senior Killed In Jersey Shore Crash
An 18-year-old Jersey Shore senior due to graduate from high school next month was killed in a crash, authorities said. Lauren Hewski, a senior at Saint John Vianney High School in Holmdel, was identified as the victim in the fatal wreck at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday May 11 on Laird Road in Colts Neck, according to multiple media accounts. Patient sexual abuse charges continue to rack up for one New Jersey urgent care doctor. Yet another one of Gurvindra Johal's former patients has stepped forwarding, alleging the 55-year-old physician sexually assaulted them in Middlesex County, authorities said. Authorities have identified the woman killed in a house fire in Belmar on Wednesday, March 15, authorities said. Frances Colie, 93, was pronounced dead at the scene of the fire, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. The fire broke out at about 4 p.m. on the 1700 block of Surf Avenue. A 34-year-old swimmer visiting from Guyana — or the "Land of Many Waters" — was struck and killed by a vehicle while in a crosswalk in Freehold Township, authorities said. Robert Taylor was struck by a southbound driver on Route 9 at Schibanoff Lane on Monday, Jan. 9 around 7 a.m., according to authorities and those who knew Taylor.
