Scooter Driver Killed In Jersey Shore Crash Involving Police Officer Identified: State AG
New Jersey's Attorney General has identified the scooter driver killed in a Monmouth County crash and the police officer involved in the wreck. Guyvenson Innocent, 35, of Beachwood, died in the crash on Monday, Apr. 15, the state Attorney General's office said in a news release on Wednesday, May 1. Police Charge Career Burglar Shot By Homeowner With Wyckoff Jewelry Store Break-In
UPDATE: A career criminal who was once shot by a retired guidance counselor after breaking into his home was charged with burglarizing a Wyckoff jewelry store earlier this year. Alexander E. Manigat, 42, of Brooklyn, was arrested by Nassau County police last month in connection with a jewelry store burglary there, Wyckoff Police Lt. Joseph Soto said on Friday, June 2. A pair of New Jersey men being held in a Haitian prison in deplorable and frightening conditions have been released, NorthJersey.com reports. Elizabeth residents Billy Balisage, 42, and Patrick Julney, 38, were among 30 deportees released seemingly at random on Monday, Oct. 24, the outlet said. A Pennsylvania man charged in the US Jan. 6 Capitol riot died by suicide a month before he was set to be sentenced, according to the Mercer County coroner's office. Matthew Lawrence Perna, 37, died on Friday, Feb. 25 after taking his own life at his home, the coroner’s office says. A 33-year-old Rutherford man wanted on burglary and robbery charges tried giving a Wayne police officer who stopped him a green card belonging to an elderly man from Haiti as identification, authorities said.
