Jersey Shore Woman Stole $175K+ From Senior Community, Forged Doctor's Letter: Prosecutors
A Mays Landing woman was accused of stealing more than $175,000 from an Ocean County senior community and lying about her child's cancer treatment to delay court proceedings, authorities said. Alicia Campbell, 37, was given five additional charges on Tuesday, Oct. 29, Ocean County First Assistant Prosecutor Michael Nolan Jr. said in a news release. Jillian Schlueter, a nurse from Marlton, has died just four months after discovering the cancer she had been diagnosed with in 2021 had never left her body — 10 days shy of her 29th birthday. Jillian was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in May 2021, just two days before she was set to graduate from nursing school, her obituary says. A cancer diagnosis was bad enough for a Central Jersey mom. Even worse, during treatment, she'll be away from her 5-month-old baby.
