Charges have been filed against a 61-year-old Perth Amboy man in connection with a deadly crash last month, authorities said. Jorge Lopez surrendered to local police on Friday, Sept. 20, and was charged with one count of second-degree vehicular homicide, DUI, and other motor vehicle offenses, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. A woman was flown to the hospital after a careless driver drove onto the sidewalk and struck her while she was walking her dog in an Ocean County town on Friday, Sept. 6, police said. A grand jury indicted Maykol Mendozarizo, 38, for second-degree vehicular homicide on Tuesday, July 16.
