A Garfield teen was given more than 20 theft charges after he was found carrying stolen mail in Wall Township, authorities said. The 16-year-old boy was arrested near Industrial Road, the Wall Township Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The arrest came as officers have increased patrols in response to rising criminal activity, particularly mail theft, in parts of Wall. A former Brick Township official, once celebrated as a top professional in his field, has admitted to stealing nearly $10,000 in township recreation fees, authorities said. Daniel Santaniello, 46, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Dec. 10 to theft, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. Police were working to uncover what led to the death of a man in Cherry Hill, authorities said. Michael Anthony, 45, was found dead on Tuesday, Dec. 10, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay said in a news release.
