A 60-year-old Denville woman was arrested and charged after she drove drunk and was involved in a crash on Saturday, Sept. 14, authorities said. Police responded to Righter Avenue for a report of a crash and found Maureen Beekman, one of the drivers in the crash, to be under the influence of liquor and/or drugs, Denville police said in a release. A 42-year-old Allamuchy man had a minor in his vehicle when he drove drunk in Independence Township on Tuesday, July 30, authorities said. Officers responded to County Road 517 for a two-car crash and after interviewing Gregory Mcgee, felt something was "off," Independence Township police said in a release.
