Boy, 12, Dies From Tree Falling In Central Jersey Backyard: Police
A Lawrence Township boy was killed when a tree fell on him in a backyard, authorities said. The 12-year-old died on Monday, Oct. 14, the Lawrence Township Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to the 100 block of Eldridge Avenue at around 12:09 p.m. Police freed the boy from under the tree and began CPR. Lawrence paramedics rushed him to Capital Health System Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. A Trenton man was found guilty of shooting and paralyzing another man more than two years ago, authorities said. A jury convicted 40-year-old Henry Hutchinson on all counts on Wednesday, Sept. 25, Acting Mercer County Prosecutor Theresa Hilton said in a news release. New Jersey health officials are reporting an additional six cases of West Nile Virus including two deaths, and two presumptive viremic blood donor (PVD) cases in the state.
